1. Clean you hands carefully before touching the filter.
2. Pull out the cartridge from the plastic wrapper. This enclosure can be recycled along with most other recyclable plastics.
3. Fill a clean bowl with fresh cold water, sink the cartridge under the surface and shake it so that any trapped air inside is released.
4. Without removing the water reservoir from the machine, pull out the cap and push the cartridge tightly inside the receive, until you sense it click-lock in place. Make sure it is sitting firmly and it can't move freely otherwise, you will experience poor performance.
