How do you install the AprilAire 80?
- Turn the unit off, and wait 4 minutes. The water will drain.
- Turn power off at the breaker, and remove all three wires connected to the AprilAire 80 canister.
- Discard the insert prior to installation. Disconnect and remove the steam hose.
- Inspect the drain and remove debris.
- Remove the o-ring from the drain valve, and use the new o-ring that comes packaged with the new AprilAire 80 canister.
- Moisten the new o-ring with water before installing.
- Insert strainer into the new AprilAire 80 canister. Turn the canister so the label faces out.
- Reattach the steam hose and the high water pin & electrode wires.
- Turn the power back on at the breaker, and turn unit on.
How often should you replace the AprilAire 80?
- Changing your AprilAire 80 is a very quick and easy process that should be done once every twelve months or when prompted by the " service" light.

Collected by Trustpilot.comIt is a replacement for the Trane humidifier. Had ordered one a year ago, (lots of iron in the water) and filterfast was not able to get them from the manufacturer. I received an email explaining the situation and asked if I wanted to cancel the order. I appreciated them advising me of the situation. Appreciating professional service I waited until they received the supply. And reordered a month ago when I needed another.
