The filter did not xome with the connecting devices. I bought the same filter from Home Depot with the propre connecting devices and it was lower priced.
Collected by Trustpilot.comThis filter is not an exact replacement for my GE GXRTQR. It does not have the specialized ends to connect to quick coupling fittings (now discontinued by GE). It does not even have the threaded ends to accept the specialized ends to connect to quick coupling fittings. It does not come with collet clips if you wanted to change over to this style filter. I now have to figure out, and waste time and money, on returning this filter.
Collected by Trustpilot.comI have been using the GXRGQ aka GXRTQR filter for years but could not find it anymore. I bought a Whirlpool WHKF-IMPLUS and it works fine as a replacement! Just be sure to transfer the screw-in quick connect adapters from the GXRTQ filter body to the Whirlpool filter, and you're good to go.

Collected by FiltersFast.comWho ever changed the design of GXRTQR from quick connect to GXRTDR were you have to cut the tubing everytime you change filter is dumb!!!!! What happens when you run out of tubing by cutting it every six months? It's like going backwards in design instead of improving. Why mess with what works. Remember the century old addage? IF IT AINT BROKEN DON'T FIXXXXXXX IT. Bring back the GXRTQ design PLEASE...
